ABOUT THAI JOP SEN MASSAGE
Thai massage is a traditional medicine with a 2500 year history influenced by both traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. Its effects and benefits have been seen by university hospitals in Thailand and is a widely accepted modality today.
The particular technique used in our treatments is called Jop Sen and known to have the highest therapeutic effects in Thai massage. The slow pressure applied at the rhythm of breathing promotes blood flow and effectively releases tightness. Jop Sen’s deep pressure at a pinpoint could have an effect on the internal organs’ functions as well as mood swings through the autonomic nervous system. Each session is customized according to one’s condition of the day. In order to maximize the effectiveness of a session, please feel free to let us know of your condition(s) and desired goal(s). EFFECIVENESS
Massage promotes the release of toxins and excess fluid out of the body. The cells will be revitalized, which helps to prevent the aging process.
Stressful lifestyles often lead to unbalance between sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves. Thai massage can effect in the center of the autonomic nervous system, which helps regulate its normal functions. Once the autonomic nervous system’s functions are restored, the corresponding organs function better as well.
Skeletal misalignment can be adjusted by loosening tight muscles. By doing so, the vascular and lymphatic fluid flows well, resulting in easing back or joint pain or improving irregular menstrual cycle and poor circulation.
The body often lacks enough oxygen due to shallow breathing caused by a tensed body. Oxidized substances such as lactic acid or uric acid that remains in the body for a long period of time is likely a cause for a disease. Massage helps one breath deeper and put him/her in a half awake and half asleep state, stimulating alfa wave in the brain. ※ Massage is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you are currently receiving a treatment, please consult your physician regarding massage. SPINE AND AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM
If you have scoliosis or an overworked spine due to long hours of deskwork or heavy use of smartphones, the autonomic nervous system may be vulnerable. Loosening both sides of the spine helps restore the normal function of the autonomic nervous system and its corresponding organs. (Chart below)
Unidentified clinical syndrome, infertility, menopause, mood swings or insomnia can often be improved as the autonomic nervous system functions normally. MUSCLE TENSION (CAUSED BY DAILY ACTIVITIES AND SPORTS)
